Entrevista a Carmen Mendoza

Sucre, Bolivia 1965. Reside en Les Corts de Barcelona. Doctora en Urbanismo por la UPC, es Subdirectora de Relaciones Internacionales de la School of Architecture de UIC Barcelona, Profesora de Urbanismo II y co-Directora del Master of International Cooperation Sustainable Emergency Architecture. Actualmente combina la docencia con la investigación en tópicos de urbanismo informal y emergencia.

Interview with Nasr Chamma

Born in Lebanon 1988, Nasr Chamma is an architect, humanitarian activist and urban planner who obtained two master degrees: the first in Advanced Architecture from IAAC and another Master of International Cooperation in Sustainable Emergency Architecture from UIC Barcelona. He currently resides in Beirut, conducting different researches related to Syrian Refugees and Palestinian refugee camps in Lebanon, which support his PhD research in Architecture at UIC Barcelona.

Master in International Cooperation: Reena Tiwari

Dr Reena Tiwari is a Senior Lecturer in the Departments of Urban & Regional Planning and Architecture at Curtin University of Technology Perth (Western Australia), a member of the Royal Australian Institute of Architects, Urban Design Institute of Australia, Institute of Urban Designers, India and the Society of Architectural Historians, Australia and New Zealand. Reena has a PhD in the area of Urban Studies, a Masters in Urban Design and a Bachelor Degree in Architecture.

Her expertise is in Urban Design and Urban Theory. Reena received Australian National Award (Carrick Citation Award 2006 for University teaching) for her outstanding contribution to student learning for developing a cross-disciplinary and integrative approach to teaching urban theory and design – blurring boundaries between class room and the ‘real world’ experience. She is Course Coordinator for Masters in Urban Design and Chair for the Design Stream in the Planning Department. Besides teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, she also supervises Postgraduate Research students in the field of Urban Design and Planning.
