With the evocative title “Bestiary”, the renowned Chilean architect Smiljan Radic will be presenting the unique and relaxed approach to style, language and architectural method that he uses, which has positioned his work as an exponent of contemporary architecture.
Pascal Flammer, Swiss architect and winner of the 2014 Philippe Rotthier European Prize for Architecture to the best intervention in a natural landscape for his design of a house and office in Balsthal, will be giving a talk in the Foros 2016 cycle, “Origin”. During the conference organized by the School of Architecture at UIC Barcelona. Flammer will be reflecting on the influence in his architecture of system, concept and composition.
Pier Paolo Tamburelli, a member of the firm Baukuh and recently nominated for the prestigious Wheelwright Prize awarded by the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University, will be giving a talk in the Foros 2016 cycle, “Origin”, organized by the School of Architecture at UIC Barcelona. Tamburelli will be reflecting on the idea that architecture can be public only if it has no content, if it simply contains whatever its users would like to bring inside it.
On Thursday 14 April, starting at 10 am, Warren Neidich will give a lecture entitled “Epigenetic Architecture and the Statisticon” at the University Master’s Degree in Biodigital Architecture in UIC Barcelona.
In January the 2016 edition of the University Master’s Degree in Biodigital Architecture 2016 was launched. The course Director is Professor and Architect Dr Alberto T. Estévez.
